Being the top 1 gifter in a TikTok LIVE means being the person who has supported the creator most with gifts in that stream's ranking. TikTok does not publish the exact formula of the viewer ranking, but in its battle guides each coin sent in gifts counts as 1 point, and creators see their biggest gifters in the Viewer ranking section of LIVE Center. There is no set amount that gets you to the top: it depends on what everyone else sends. And it is not the same as your gifter level, which builds up with everything your account has ever sent.

It is first place in a stream's support ranking. Many creators show it on screen: LIVE Studio has a source called Viewer ranking designed for exactly that, according to its Help Center (11/02/2025). After the stream, creators see their top gifters and top viewers in LIVE Center, alongside metrics for the last 7 days (LIVE Studio Help Center, 15/08/2025).

Seeing your name there is normal: under TikTok's Virtual Items Policy, gifts are sent publicly, and the creator and other users can see who sent them.

1. Check the ranking before you send. If the creator shows it on screen, you will see what first place has and whether your budget can match it.
